Jody Flowers
Lead Pastor
Jody was born and raised in Bennettsville SC. He has (1) an amazing wife of 35 years, Michelle (a science teacher at Chapin High); (2) an incredible son, Andrew, a graduate of Clemson University and a pastor at Midtown Fellowship Church, Lexington; (3) a precious daughter-in-law, Morgan, a graduate of USC and a Nurse Practitioner; (4) two awesome granddaughters, Lucy Jane and Miller Kate! and (5) an ugly golf swing. Graduating from St Andrews Presbyterian College in 1982 and Duke Divinity School in 1994, Jody is a former Graduate Assistant Football Coach at Clemson and a longtime "Atlanta Brave Wanna-Be" who longs to love Jesus more. He has served as Lead Pastor of Chapin CCC since June of 2001.

Caroline Fogle
Operations Director
Caroline began attending CCCC in 1990. She grew up in the church participating in the Youth ministry. A USC graduate, Caroline left the corporate world in 2007 to join the CHAPIN CCC staff as Administrative Assistant/Office Manager for 15 years before becoming the Director of Operations. This career change has allowed her to live out her prayers of placing God first, then her husband Ryan and their son, Aiden Wesley; something they believe is the strength and backbone of their lives. Caroline has come full circle to end up where she believes she truly belongs.

Natalie McCoy
Associate Pastor (Family Ministries: Children)
Natalie and her husband, Ben have been members of Chapin CCC since 2003. They have three married daughters and a precious granddaughter, Palmer.. Before answering the call to ministry, Natalie was a teacher, educational consultant, and teacher trainer. She has co-authored and published several books in the education field. Natalie is a graduate of Columbia College and earned her diploma in Children’s Ministry from KidMin Academy in Indiana. Having grown up the daughter of a minister, she has been involved and served in a variety of ministry areas her entire life. Natalie desires that every child come to know the amazing love and grace of Jesus Christ. She feels it is a privilege to partner with parents as they seek to teach, lead and grow their children’s relationship with Christ.

John Dukes
Associate Pastor (Contemporary Worship / Family Ministries: Students)
John joined the staff at CCCC in July of 2017. He is married to Sarah and they have three great kids. A graduate of North Greenville University, he most recently was a worship pastor at a church plant outside of Greenville, SC. John is passionate about discipleship and raising up the next generation of worship leaders who lead people and not just songs. Simply stated John wants to help people love God better.

Jonathan Ruth
Discipleship Pastor: Membership - Groups - Serving
Jonathan grew up in the Columbia area and met his wife Tiffany at church in Lexington. He is a graduate of Erskine College and Erskine Theological Seminary. Tiffany is a graduate of Lander and a nurse at the MUSC Vein Clinic. They have four children – Surina, Jackson, Landon, and Addison. In June of 2023 they completed the building of their dream home in Chapin and plan to be here for a very long time! As a family they love to hang out on Lake Murray swimming, tubing, and fishing. Jonathan also enjoys hunting whitetail and sipping on a good cup of coffee on the front porch with Tiffany beside him.

Bob Brooks
Congregational Care Pastor
Bob joined the staff at Chapin Community Christian Church in September of 2023. He and his wife Denée moved to Chapin from San Diego, California. Both Bob and Denee were born and raised in California, and raised their three daughters there. Now all three daughters are grown up, and two wonderful sons- in-law have joined the family. Bob graduated from California State University San Bernardino and spent 20+ years in the corporate world. Thirteen years ago, the Lord called Bob into full time ministry when leadership at Vista Assembly of God invited him on staff as the Senior Associate Pastor. As the Senior Associate Pastor, Bob's management and business skills were utilized, but he also discovered his love of counseling and shepherding. He is excited for his new role at Chapin Christian, where he has the opportunity to engage in the care side of the ministry even more than before. Bob’s greatest desire is to share the love of Jesus, so that people can experience Him in His fullest.

Lennie Tucker
Minister of Traditional Music
Lennie has lived most of her adult life in South Carolina, but lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, and Florida growing up. She is married to Jack Tucker, and together they have one daughter, two sons, and six grandchildren. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Limestone College; a Masters of Music degree from Converse College; a Masters plus thirty hours in Music and Education from Converse College and USC, and is a Nationally Board Certified Middle School Generalist. From a young age of 12, Lennie has been involved in church music playing the piano, organ, and directing children’s choirs. In 1971, she accepted her first position as full time minister of music and youth. Along with a church music position, Lennie taught music in public schools in South Carolina and retired from teaching in 2016. From that time to the present, Lennie has been actively involved in the music ministry of several churches throughout South Carolina. She has served in the CCCC music ministry in various capacities since 2006. She feels very blessed to be able to lead people to know and serve the Lord through music. “Without Him, I could do nothing.”

mark Slice
Director of Media and Production
With deep family roots in the Chapin community, Mark graduated from Chapin High School and went on to the University of South Carolina to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communications. After USC, Mark began his career at South Carolina ETV as a broadcast engineer. Soon afterwards, Mark met his wife Andrea. They have been married for 23 years with three awesome children, Chas, Gabe and Lauren. In 2014, Mark left SCETV to join the University of South Carolina to help launch the SEC Network in partnership with ESPN. After 30 years of state service in mass communications, Mark is now working with the CCCC team to spread God’s word both here and afar.

Curt Mitchell
Facilities Director
Curt has been a Chapin native since the age of six. He now resides here with his wife Haylee and his two daughters, Payton and Campbell. He and his family feel blessed to be members of Chapin CCC and considers it a tremendous honor to work alongside the staff here. Curt truly believes this is where God has led him to be, and is excited about the opportunity to serve in this ministry however the Lord sees fit.

Bobby Scott
Arts and Media
Bobby has served Chapin CCC as a musician for Contemporary Worship since 2012. Prior to joining the church staff, Bobby came to Chapin CCC with a broad range of work experience in sales, operation management, and digital media creation. Originally from Woodruff, South Carolina, Bobby has called Chapin home since 2018. Bobby is a graduate of Newberry College. While in college, he began attending and serving in the band at Chapin CCC after being invited by a friend to audition. In his spare time, Bobby enjoys playing music with friends, cycling, and spending time with family. In his role, Bobby is excited to serve God and Chapin CCC in both Traditional and Contemporary Worship services. He looks forward to helping to expand Chapin CCC’s online presence in hopes of better serving existing members and reaching new ones.

Alice Furman
Administrative Assistant
Alice began attending Chapin CCC in 1993 and joined in 1996. She served as treasurer since 1997, and transitioned into her new role in 2020. Alice is the widow of Bill Furman and helped raise her two grandsons, William and Riley. She enjoys being outside and time with her sweet great grand-daughter, Emma Grace. Chapin CCC is her "Home Away From Home!"

Kay Reeves
Financial Secretary / Office Manager
Kay and her husband, Steve, joined CCCC in 2013. They have a son, two daughters and four beautiful granddaughters and one grandson. She joined the staff in 2016 and enjoys serving the Lord and her church with the gifts the Lord has graciously given her.

Courtney Dox
Communications
Courtney has spent most of her life in South Carolina, growing up in the Irmo area. After receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Clemson University, she went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Adam in 2008. After joining Chapin UMC in 2012 they welcomed two daughters Addy Lane & Sadie to their family. Courtney was a wedding photographer for just under 10 years before deciding to step away from her business to spend more time with her family. Courtney is excited getting to serve using her love for photography as well as helping us communicate via social media!

Rebecca Nelson
Children's Ministry Assistant
Rebecca and her family have lived in Chapin, SC since 2014. She and her husband Nathan have been members of the church since 2017. They married in 2011 and have a son Jordan. Rebecca has a BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Rebecca has volunteered in the children’s ministry at CUMC in Wee Worship and in preschool Sunday School. Rebecca believes that our children are our future and loves to encourage them to be the hands and feet of God.

Courtney Turner
Children's Ministry Assistant
Courtney and her family are from Columbia, SC and moved to Chapin in 2021. She’s been married to her wonderful husband, Barrett since 2015. They are blessed with two happy children, Charlotte and Cooper. When first visiting the church, they fell in love with the children’s ministry and the truth that was spoken in church each Sunday. Courtney has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University. After teaching at an elementary school and preschool for a few years, she decided to follow her heart and teach children about the truth and life that God provides. She is thrilled to share the Good News to our children and inspire their love for Jesus Christ.

Shirley Maybin
Prayer Ministry Coordinator
Shirley is a wife (married to Bill for 54 years), mother of 2 girls and grandmother of 7. She loves her Lord and is honored to serve Him as Coordinator of Prayer Ministries at CUMC. She loves to cook, bake, garden and read good books. Five things that she would not ever want to do without are: the Gospels of Jesus Christ, her small group Bible studies, Girlfriends in God Prayer Group, her outdoor prayer room and her flower garden.
